The Perry County Historical and Cultural Arts Society – The Perry County Historical and Cultural Arts Society exists to collect, preserve, and promote Perry County, Ohio history.  Most programs are offered free of charge to anyone who wishes to attend.

Alan Cottrill,  Artist  Alan Cottrill,  Zanesville sculptor, will create the Nellie Sheridan Wilson statue that is to be erected on the Somerset Square .  Alan is a native of Zanesville, Ohio.  His talent is immense and the process is interesting.

American Legion Post 58, Somerset, Ohio The American Legion of Somerset donated the space for our tea.  We wish to acknowledge all of their hard work and extend a special thank you to them for helping to make Nellie’s event a grand success.

Perry County District Library Aside from providing the county with an amazing genealogical library,  the PCDL has graciously allowed us access to the Somerset Annex to hold meetings and has also provided financial support for the Phil Sheridan Civil War lecture series.

Perry County Tribune For the very best in Perry County news,  there is no better paper than the PCT.  They have graciously worked with the historical society by covering and publishing our events.

The Village of Somerset Facebook Page – The page for the latest information regarding Somerset.  It is a great way to keep track of local events, the farmer’s market, etc.

The Clay Haus – The Clay Haus Restaurant is a fabulous place to eat if you love Perry County History because it is a part of Perry County History.  It is quaint restaurant, which focuses on German Cuisine.  They provide excellent service and  a marvelous homespun atmosphere.

 Perry County Chamber of Commerce – The purpose of this site is to highlight and promote Perry County area businesses and events.  This site is the go to site for everything Perry County.

Newlon Tires, New Lexington – The Newlons are wonderful stewards of Perry County.  They not only make Perry County their home and place of business, but they contribute to the overall betterment of the area by participating in wonderful charities such as: PCHCAS,  Perry County Cancer Alliance,  Sock Sunday, and many more.  Hats off to Dick and Karen Newlon!

The Perry County Genealogical Society – The PCGS is co-sponsoring an  oral history project with the PCHCAS and the Perry County District Libraries.  If you have an old family photo that could be scanned as part of this project, please bring it to the library and have it scanned.  We want your stories..all are significant!
